Each certificate corresponds with the California Child Development Permit, administered by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This permit allows educators to advance through a career pathway that aligns with professional objectives and leadership competencies. The curriculum caters to students aspiring to roles in early childhood administration and supervision, requiring 33 units in Child Development along with an Associate in Science degree. Program Learning Outcomes: Graduates will gain insights into young children's development and the diverse factors influencing their growth, enabling them to create nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environments. They will recognize the significance of family and community dynamics, building collaborative relationships that empower families and engage them in children's education. Students will master observation and assessment methods to enhance teaching practices in partnership with families and colleagues. They will design culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for all children.
