This degree or certificate prepares students for careers in the commercial ceramics sector, focusing on job-ready abilities like production forming methods, surface decoration, glaze development and use, chemical safety protocols, and kiln operations. It also supports individuals establishing independent studios as professional artists. Students will master diverse ceramic methods, understand and apply fundamental ceramic principles, create original pieces exhibiting advanced craftsmanship, and evaluate and critique ceramic artworks. Completion requires 27 units from mandatory courses. Program Learning Outcomes: Graduates will be able to comprehend and utilize core ceramic concepts; assess and critique ceramic pieces; generate original works displaying superior craftsmanship; and exhibit proficiency across various ceramic techniques.
High School transcripts and Diploma; minimum of 2.0 or ""C"" grade point average, if transferring directly from a U.S.-based College or University.
Students under 18 years of age may apply, but must submit final transcripts showing secondary/high school completion before the first term of enrollment.

Application Deadline: July 10 for Fall Semester; November 30 for Spring Semester and May 15 for the Summer Session.
