This program equips students with the skills needed for office-based clerical roles, including word processing, managing office equipment, computer operations, appointment scheduling, and office coordination. The curriculum covers fundamental business topics such as accounting basics, workplace interpersonal skills, standard office protocols, professional writing, presentation methods, and Microsoft Office proficiency. A strong focus is given to mastering technical writing structure and techniques, along with verbal communication skills. Learners will enhance their English vocabulary (both general and industry-specific), critical analysis, writing abilities, public speaking, and interview strategies. Completion requires 30-31 units of core coursework. Program Outcomes: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to manage professional correspondence using current technology, operating systems (Windows), and software (Word, Excel, Outlook) for advanced tasks, utilize global information networks to access accounts and research tools like email and web browsers, apply accounting knowledge to maintain financial records and support business decisions, execute office tasks including mail handling and document processing, demonstrate workplace interaction skills for interviews and customer service, operate phones professionally, and type at least 30 words per minute while producing sophisticated business documents like forms, resumes, and reports with proper formatting.
