The Armenian Language degree or certificate offers comprehensive academic training in Armenian. It equips students to transfer into bachelor's programs focusing on Armenian, Near Eastern Languages, Music, Linguistics, Art History, and similar disciplines. This program also serves community members seeking foreign language proficiency or pursuing careers requiring Armenian language skills. Learners gain abilities in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Armenian while developing critical thinking through analyzing literary works and cultural expressions. The program requires completion of all mandatory courses totaling at least 18 units. Program Outcomes: Graduates will show improved reading and listening comprehension in the target language. They'll employ communication skills to speak and write effectively in the language while demonstrating enhanced understanding of its associated cultures.

Qualification Requirements

Secondary or high school school students - submit proof of completion of secondary education by submitting your transcripts, a graduation certificate, or diploma. If you have not yet graduated from your secondary school, you may apply with in-progress transcripts and must submit final documents showing completion prior to enrollment at GCC.
College or university students - submit transcripts of all colleges/universities you have attended. Secondary or high school records are not required if you have completed at least one term of college or university.
