The dual degree program combining a Juris Doctor with a Master of City and Regional Planning is jointly provided by Georgia Tech's College of Law and College of Design. Participants engage with faculty researchers from both the Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth and the School of City and Regional Planning. Legal professionals specializing in urban planning, land use, environmental law, real estate development, and local governance are increasingly sought after as cities work toward becoming more sustainable, inclusive, and fair. Whether addressing zoning changes or post-disaster reconstruction, legal expertise proves essential throughout all phases of community growth. Georgia State University stands ready to train future professionals through its cutting-edge law curriculum, hands-on Urban Fellows initiative, and prime location in downtown Atlanta.
