The graduate certificate in Heritage Preservation provides specialized pathways in Historic Preservation and Public History. This program welcomes students pursuing graduate degrees at Georgia State or other institutions in fields such as history, architecture, urban planning, anthropology, geography, urban studies, public administration, and real estate.
Additionally, the certificate is available to students enrolled in graduate programs within the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education (ARCHE) network. Participating institutions include Agnes Scott College, Brenau University, Clark Atlanta University, Clayton State University, Columbia Theological Seminary, Emory University, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia Tech, Interdenominational Theological Center, Kennesaw State University, Mercer University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Oglethorpe University, SCAD-Atlanta, Spelman College, University of Georgia, and University of West Georgia. ARCHE students can apply for the certificate program following the same application process as the Master of Heritage Preservation degree.
