The rising levels of inequality, deepening political divides, and greater emphasis on diversity across numerous organizations have boosted the need for Social Justice specialists within NGOs, nonprofit groups, activist networks, and corporate teams focused on areas like multicultural initiatives, community engagement, and fairness.

To equip students with the required expertise, the Sociology Department presents an interdisciplinary Social Justice Certificate. This program delivers focused coursework to enhance graduates' qualifications for advanced roles in social justice fields, facilitates hands-on learning experiences to apply classroom knowledge, and creates a well-rounded, cross-departmental study of social justice through relevant university courses.
