The Drawing and Painting program features a variety of media-specific and concept-oriented courses, with dedicated studio classrooms and critique spaces. Our faculty, representing diverse artistic styles, teach specialized courses in various mediums—including oil and water-based paints, figure drawing, and digital techniques—along with conceptually rich classes like The Human Form as Subject, Audio Art, Environmental Art Studies, Creative Research Approaches, Visual Storytelling, and Art-Science Fusion. The program fosters creative exploration across visual expression, experimental media, socially engaged art, and conceptual practices—all built upon strong foundational skills.
Faculty specialties span traditional drawing techniques, multimedia art, collage, video production, sound art, animation, hyperrealistic painting, abstract works, sculpture, and installation art. The department also facilitates global study opportunities led by faculty and supports student internships through faculty connections.
