The French department provides a combined Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts program. This accelerated pathway allows eligible undergraduates to take graduate-level courses in their junior or senior year, applying these credits toward both degrees. Specifically: BA candidates may enroll in 4 graduate courses during their third or fourth year (counting toward both degrees), then finish their MA within one year after completing their bachelor's.
Departmental and College of Arts and Sciences approval is required for undergraduates to participate in graduate coursework. Note that dual program acceptance doesn't guarantee MA program admission - students must still meet standard graduate admissions criteria and complete the standard application process for the master's program.
