Georgia Tech's Master of Science in Analytics program is an interdisciplinary hybrid degree combining data science and analytics, delivered collaboratively by GT's Colleges of Computing, Business, and Engineering. The institution provides three pathways for students pursuing this analytics Master's degree. Designed as an intensive one-year program (spanning fall, spring, and summer semesters), the MS Analytics curriculum requires completion of 36 credit hours. Under the guidance of renowned faculty, MSA candidates master core competencies in machine learning, data visualization, statistical modeling, operations research, and data pipeline construction. Program graduates emerge as skilled professionals capable of problem identification, large-scale data acquisition and management, sophisticated model development and interpretation, and the strategic integration of these multidisciplinary capabilities to deliver impactful analytics and data science initiatives.
The prerequisites of the MS Analytics program include: Interest in analytics, and a high level of ability that has been demonstrated within past performance on appropriate coursework and/or industry experience as well as standardized testing (GRE or GMAT); Basic mathematical background - at least one college-level course in each of calculus, basic linear algebra, and probability and statistics; Basic computing background - at least one college-level course (or equivalent basic knowledge) in computer programming using a high-level language such as Python; A bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and Institute requirements for admission to graduate study..
TOEFL scores (minimum score of 100) or IELTS scores (minimum score of 7.5) are also required for international applicants.
The Priority Application Deadline for the MS in Analytics is January 3, for the cohort starting in the following Fall. The Late Deadline is March 15.
