The School of Aerospace Engineering provides advanced degree programs at the graduate level, including both master's and doctoral options. Students can also pursue a master's degree through distance learning.
To earn a master's degree, candidates must complete 33 credit hours of coursework, which includes 3 credit hours of Special Problems research. Another pathway involves completing 24 credit hours of coursework plus 9 hours dedicated to a master's thesis. For the thesis option, students must develop a research proposal, finish their thesis, and defend it successfully. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required for graduation. All courses, including Special Problems, must be taken for letter grades. The master's program offers considerable flexibility, allowing students to customize their studies in consultation with their advisor to align with their career objectives.
