Biomechanics involves using mechanical laws to study living organisms, including humans, animals, plants, and their cellular structures. This field intersects strongly with engineering, as it frequently employs conventional engineering methods to examine biological processes. Fundamental concepts from Newtonian physics and materials science often provide accurate models for understanding biological mechanics. Key engineering specialties like continuum mechanics, structural evaluation, motion analysis, and dynamic systems contribute significantly to biomechanical research.
