The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides two bachelor's degree options: electrical engineering (EE) and computer engineering (CmpE). Each curriculum incorporates flexible elective credits, allowing students to customize their studies toward specific focus areas or explore diverse subjects. Engineering problem-solving and design principles are woven throughout both programs, culminating in a capstone design project that addresses multifaceted considerations like economic and social impacts.
Computer engineering focuses on digital systems design, computer hardware architecture, networking technologies, and computing applications. The BS CmpE curriculum features specialized electives across multiple domains, including processor architecture, embedded systems, design automation, network systems, distributed computing, and chip design. Students can also pursue advanced coursework in other EE specialties, computer science, or complementary disciplines like mathematics, physics, or business administration. For those interested in computer engineering with an electrical engineering foundation, the BS EE program offers a dedicated computer engineering concentration.
Applicants must have International Baccalaureate Diploma.
