Our Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology provides a Master of Science program in Biotechnology, featuring a curriculum that embodies biotechnology's interdisciplinary character. This program combines scientific theory and laboratory training with specialized coursework in BioBusiness, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and regulatory compliance. The 30-credit program can be completed in one year or extended for working professionals pursuing part-time study, with five distinct specialization tracks available.
This particular concentration equips students with comprehensive understanding of technological and bioinformatics applications in drug development. Coursework emphasizes disease pathology and pharmaceutical target identification, complemented by studies in regulatory compliance, FDA approval protocols, intellectual property rights, pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, and drug commercialization strategies.
Graduates may pursue careers in scientific research, regulatory compliance, or intellectual property administration and licensing.
