The Master of Science in Global Health program centers on a foundational curriculum in global health studies, offering five specialized tracks. This full-time course spans three consecutive semesters (fall, spring, and summer or fall) and requires completion of 32 credit hours. Students can finish the program in as little as 13 months. The curriculum consists of three key components: The Global Health Core (15 credits) covers fundamental topics and principles in global health, while Concentration electives (9 credits) enable students to specialize in specific domains. The five available specializations include: Disease Prevention & Control, Health Economics, African Health & Development, Urban Health & Population Studies, and Global Health Policy & Governance. The program culminates with a Field Research Module and Thesis (8 credits), where students design research projects, conduct fieldwork, analyze data, and produce both a comprehensive research report and an academic thesis that advances global health knowledge and improves health outcomes worldwide.
