Georgetown Law boasts a distinguished history of pioneering feminist scholarship and gender studies. Current faculty research tackles pressing legal matters including LGBTQ+ rights, global women's rights, the intersection of religious freedom and queer rights, and gender-based discrimination. Those pursuing these fields can obtain hands-on experience through specialized clinics dealing with intimate partner violence and international women's rights. Through the Domestic Violence Clinic, participants advocate for survivors of abusive relationships in civil protection cases, frequently addressing emergency shelter needs, child custody arrangements, and financial support. Participants master relevant family law statutes while developing expertise in civil litigation procedures, professional ethics, and criminal justice system navigation through collaboration with the U.S. Attorney's Office on prosecutions involving abusive partners.

Transcript - All applicants must register with LSAC's Credential Assembly Service (CAS) in order to transmit academic transcripts to Georgetown Law. Transcripts from all schools attended must be sent to LSAC directly from the institution.
LSAT, GRE, or GMAT Score - All applicants are required to submit an LSAT, GRE, or GMAT score received within the last five years.
Letter of Recommendation - Georgetown Law requires only one letter of recommendation, but additional letters or evaluations are welcome.
Personal Statement - Georgetown Law does not have a minimum or maximum length for the personal statement, though we recommend around two pages double-spaced.
