Georgetown Law upholds a longstanding commitment to advancing social justice through legal practice - civil rights and anti-discrimination themes are integrated throughout our academic programs. Learners gain hands-on experience through clinical programs, where they advocate for actual clients in civil rights cases or engage in policy and advocacy work on matters like global women's rights. Our distinguished faculty comprises leading scholars shaping critical legal discussions around civil liberties, producing influential works ranging from groundbreaking research to the definitive textbook on contemporary civil rights legislation, along with media analyses addressing racial justice, police violence, and employment discrimination.
