The Classics Department provides an A.B. degree in Classics with specializations available in Classical Studies, Hellenic Studies, Greek, Latin, or combined Greek and Latin programs. Students can also pursue a minor in Classical Studies or modern Greek. The broad scope of topics encompassed by Classics enables multiple focus areas within the major. This extensive range also ensures that a Classics minor complements numerous other university disciplines. The department teaches Latin and Greek courses across all undergraduate levels, from introductory to advanced, including specialized classes for students with extensive prior experience. Additionally, it offers Classical Studies courses that examine ancient artifacts and texts through English translations.
