The Master of Science in Anatomical and Translational Sciences (M-ATS) is a two-year graduate program that focuses on foundational medical sciences, clinical studies, and translational research approaches without requiring a thesis. Students gain comprehensive expertise in human anatomy, embryology, histology, neuroanatomy, genomic medicine, bioinformatics, physiology, pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and contemporary stem cell biology. The curriculum also emphasizes personalized medicine and the methodologies of translational research and clinical studies. This program aims to strengthen students' qualifications for medical school, physician assistant programs, or advanced graduate studies. M-ATS combines resources from three GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences departments: Anatomy and Regenerative Biology, Pharmacology and Physiology, and Clinical Research and Leadership, offering an interdisciplinary educational experience.
