The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policy that governs societies globally.
Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized study area aligned with their professional goals, choosing from predefined tracks or crafting a custom path with faculty guidance. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a capstone project collaborating with a client of their selection.
This 12-credit specialization prepares students for leadership roles in nonprofit organizations. The curriculum covers organizational governance, strategic planning, program management and assessment, fundraising strategies, philanthropic foundations, advocacy groups, international NGOs, and policy matters affecting the nonprofit sector worldwide.
Students pursuing this concentration can simultaneously earn a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management by applying the same 12 credits toward both their MPA/MPP and the certificate. Restrictions may apply. Visit the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management webpage and reach out to Professor Michael Worth for additional details.
