The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policy that governs societies globally.

Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized concentration aligned with their professional goals, choosing from established options or crafting a customized path with faculty guidance. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a culminating capstone project for an external client.
The education policy specialization develops analytical skills for addressing critical educational challenges across K-12 and higher education systems at various government levels. Curriculum focuses on school improvement initiatives, urban education challenges, academic performance metrics, equitable funding models, educator effectiveness, equal access initiatives, accountability systems, and collegiate participation rates. This concentration benefits from close partnership with GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
