The Trachtenberg School's Master of Public Administration (MPA) equips graduates to take leadership roles across public service organizations in every sector.
This degree offers comprehensive study of management and policy challenges within intergovernmental and cross-sector frameworks. The curriculum emphasizes cultivating analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and an awareness of the ethical considerations fundamental to public service. All TSPPPA master's candidates complete a hands-on capstone project serving a community organization.
MPA graduates pursue careers across government agencies, advocacy groups, research institutions, consulting firms, and corporate settings.
This 12-credit specialization prepares students for nonprofit leadership roles. The coursework covers organizational governance, strategic planning, program evaluation, fundraising strategies, foundation management, advocacy work, international NGOs, and policy matters affecting the nonprofit sector globally.
Students in this concentration can simultaneously earn a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management by applying their 12 specialization credits toward both the MPA/MPP and certificate requirements. Restrictions may apply. Visit the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management webpage or reach out to Professor Michael Worth for details.
