The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science offers a comprehensive education, combining foundational mathematics and science courses with strong communication skills and specialized computer science training. This includes an 8-credit capstone senior design project that simulates real-world industry development.
To meet residency requirements, computer science majors must complete at least 30 upper-level credits in computer science at GW. These credits may include courses taken through approved study abroad programs. Both SEAS and non-SEAS students pursuing a double major in computer science must fulfill all listed requirements.
For complete program details, consult the Bulletin—the official source for degree requirements. Current students must follow the Bulletin for their matriculation year. Archived Bulletins are available for previous academic years. Select your curriculum year below (typically your program start year, though DegreeMap specifies your correct year).
