The Bachelor of Science program places a stronger focus on mathematics and natural sciences compared to the Bachelor of Arts, providing students with four distinct pathways.
Pathway 1 is ideal for those pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, law, or business.
Pathway 2 caters to students aiming for graduate studies in chemistry or seeking professional certification in the chemical field. This pathway meets the American Chemical Society (ACS) standards for professional education.
Pathway 3 equips students with the expertise required by forensic science laboratories at state and federal levels. The curriculum covers homicide investigation techniques, forensic pathology, and the analysis of trace evidence like hairs, fibers, glass, soil, flammable liquids, and explosive remnants.
Pathway 4 incorporates advanced biochemistry coursework and satisfies ACS certification for biochemistry. Students are advised to complement their studies with genetics, cell biology, and human physiology courses.
