The WGSS combined BA/MA program builds on the department's core strengths: intersectional approaches, international feminist perspectives, policy studies, and media/visual analysis. Participants examine key discussions in gender and sexuality studies while gaining comprehensive cross-disciplinary preparation for academic inquiry. Learners additionally focus on a specific academic discipline or subject area of interest.
Completion requires meeting all BA and MA degree criteria in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Undergraduates earn their BA after four years and enter the MA track with 12 credits already completed, needing 24 additional credits for the master's. Full-time graduate students typically enroll in 9 credits per semester, allowing degree completion within three additional semesters.
