The GW Religion Department is renowned for its outstanding teaching quality. Students receive personalized guidance and form strong connections with faculty members. Our department ensures all majors collaborate closely with professors and enjoy the advantages of intimate class settings. Religion majors frequently see their thesis work published in academic journals and gain admission to prestigious graduate programs in fields like law, medicine, and religious studies.
Numerous students opt to pair a Religion major or minor with disciplines such as History, International Affairs, Philosophy, Political Science, or Sociology/Anthropology. Our program's adaptability allows students to seamlessly integrate pre-med prerequisites with our major and minor requirements.
The Religion BA program starts with an introductory course on global religions and culminates in a senior capstone project.
