Students enrolled in any Elliott School major must fulfill the General Bachelor's Program Requirements. Those pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs (BAIA) must additionally complete all three BAIA major requirements listed below. A third-year competency level in a modern foreign language, verified either by examination or completed coursework, is mandatory.
This specialization offers a comparative and global perspective on Asian nations, encompassing contemporary Asian history, regional economics, political systems, and geopolitical dynamics. It explores continental security challenges, development initiatives, trade relations, and how Asian nations engage with the global community.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion, students should possess the analytical skills to interpret domestic and international affairs involving Asian states. They should be capable of developing policy solutions for regional challenges and evaluating the efficacy of such policy approaches.
