The five-year combined B.A./B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Cybersecurity program, offered by the Department of Computer Science, enables GW undergraduates to earn a master's degree within one additional year after completing their bachelor's in Computer Science.
To achieve both degrees in five years, students must include two graduate-level courses as electives during their undergraduate studies. Admission to the graduate segment is competitive, requiring at least a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.3 technical GPA (calculated from all computer science courses). The final year focuses on eight graduate courses for the Master of Science. Students are awarded their bachelor's degree after year four and the M.S. upon finishing year five.
