The Graduate Certificate in Music for Well-Being enhances existing School of Music offerings by incorporating well-being as a core focus for musical study.

Building upon courses from the undergraduate Music for Well-Being minor, this program enables students to examine relationships between music, consciousness, vibration, meditation, and wellness. Participants gain comprehensive theoretical and practical training, including composition and improvisation techniques. While covering related topics, this is distinct from music therapy programs. Designed to align with the university's mindfulness initiatives, the certificate program responds to demonstrated student interest, evidenced by the popularity of both the graduate and undergraduate Healing Arts Ensemble and the growing enrollment in the Music for Well-Being minor.
