The PhD program in Chemistry and Biochemistry equips doctoral candidates with sophisticated expertise to excel in chemical/biochemical industries, academic institutions, or national research facilities. Participants select a specialization from Analytical, Environmental, Inorganic, Organic, or Physical Chemistry, or Biochemistry. Qualification Requirements
Applicants with a BS degree in other fields of study who have at least three years of chemistry or biochemistry coursework may be accepted provisionally and may be required to successfully complete selected remedial courses, some of which may not be applicable toward the PhD requirements.
An earned baccalaureate from an institution of higher education accredited by a Mason-recognized U.S. institutional accrediting agency, or international equivalent, verified from official transcripts.
A minimum 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale in baccalaureate study.
