The English Bachelor of Arts program enables students to explore diverse fields including literary studies, creative writing, film and media studies, rhetoric and composition, language science, folk traditions, and cultural analysis. Within these seven specialization areas, learners can focus on one or two paths aligned with their academic passions and professional aspirations. The program actively supports students in securing relevant internships while offering dedicated faculty guidance throughout this journey. With intentionally limited class sizes, professors can offer individualized support to each student. Throughout the curriculum, participants develop writing skills across both conventional and digital platforms in multiple contexts, culminating in a specialized research project for their concentration's capstone course. Ambitious students may join the English Honors Program, featuring thesis options and additional avenues for advanced scholarly or creative work. Aspiring educators can benefit from the combined bachelor's/master's pathway offered collaboratively with the College of Education and Human Development.
