The Environmental Science and Management program offers a versatile and evolving curriculum, addressing issues in both natural and built environments. Through strong partnerships with local industries and environmental organizations, Gannon University's Department of Environmental Science & Engineering has become a regional pioneer in environmental quality, health, and management.
The M.S. program provides two specialization tracks: 1.) Environmental Health & Safety and 2.) Environmental Management. Those completing the Environmental Health & Safety track gain expertise in creating and applying technologies to safeguard ecosystems and public health. Alumni often work in environmental compliance roles across industrial, consulting, and governmental sectors. For students aiming for leadership positions, the Environmental Management track blends environmental science with business education to develop future environmental administrators.
Both specializations require at least 30 credits to earn the M.S. degree, with each student's coursework tailored to their professional aspirations.
