To foster middle and high school students' understanding and passion for life sciences, educators require more than just biology expertise. This program enhances teaching candidates' grasp of adolescent learning processes, educational principles, and effective science teaching methods.
During the initial year's fall and spring terms, participants spend three full days weekly in classrooms: observing for three weeks, followed by ten weeks of student teaching in the same setting.
In the second year's fall and spring semesters, engagement increases to five full days weekly: two weeks of observation, then twelve weeks of student teaching in the same classroom environment.
