The Advanced Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is tailored for educators with experience who hold an initial, provisional, permanent, or professional teaching license and wish to enhance their expertise in supporting emergent bilingual learners. Candidates without initial teaching certification who are enrolled in Fordham University's teacher preparation program may also qualify for admission.
This 15-credit program results in a certification and qualifies graduates for an extension to their early childhood, elementary, or secondary teaching credential to include English as a Second Language instruction.
