The Associate in Science in Biology for Transfer program equips students for seamless transfer to California State Universities (CSUs). Graduates earning this degree gain priority admission consideration for biology and related majors at CSU campuses. The curriculum satisfies lower-division major prerequisites at numerous CSU institutions, though students should consult with an advisor regarding specific campus requirements. This pathway also serves as strong preparation for various other academic disciplines. The Biology major opens doors to professions in healthcare, education, environmental sciences, biotechnology, genetics research, and numerous other scientific fields.
Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in applying scientific methodology - from hypothesis formulation and experimental design to data interpretation and effective communication of findings through written and oral presentations.
