The studio art program equips students with varied viewpoints and hands-on portfolio-building skills for transitioning to art schools and university studio programs. The Associate in Arts degree and Certificate of Achievement provide foundational to intermediate courses in ceramics, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, 2-D and 3-D design, painting, and art theory. Our flexible course schedule includes weekday, evening, weekend, in-person, virtual, hybrid, and online options to accommodate student needs.
Students will gain the ability to:
Produce two- and three-dimensional art using drawing, design, ceramics, and/or digital tools, materials, and techniques.
Develop artwork expressing diverse cultural viewpoints and human experiences.
Evaluate historical and contemporary two- and three-dimensional artworks in relation to artistic theory.
Transform ideas and visual observations into tangible, digital, and image-based creations.
