This interdisciplinary program is tailored for students aiming to master demographic principles, information, and methodologies. The coursework focuses on practical demographic applications while cultivating critical thinking and analytical abilities valuable in research or data-driven environments. Ideal candidates for our program typically: Thrive when handling numerical data and statistical tools Aim to gain expertise in demographic analysis, techniques, and frameworks Pursue careers in mid-level research or data-focused roles across various sectors. The curriculum is structured as a one-year program, commencing in Fall and concluding the subsequent Summer. While coursework spans three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer), students pursuing summer internships often fulfill requirements in two semesters. The Summer term features a Master's Research course that supports students in developing a demographic research project on their selected topic. This flexible course accommodates both on-campus students and those undertaking remote summer internships outside Tallahassee.
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while enrolled as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; or A graduate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution
