The Master of Science in Biostatistics equips students to utilize statistical theories, methodologies, and computational techniques for designing, executing, and evaluating health-related research, encompassing both clinical trials and epidemiological investigations. Florida State University's Statistics Department provides two Master's programs: an MS in Statistics (36 credit hours) and an MS in Statistics with a Statistical Data Science concentration (32 credit hours).
Additionally, the department offers an MS in Biostatistics (36 credit hours). Students can complete any of these Master's programs through coursework or by pursuing a thesis track.
At least a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with at least a "B" average
A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is the minimum requirement for admission
If you do not wish to be considered for funding, you must have a minimum score of the following on one of the following tests:
TOEFL Overall: 80
MELAB: 80
IELTS Overall: 6.5
