The Biomathematics (or Mathematical Biology) graduate program is designed to equip students with comprehensive interdisciplinary training. Faculty members bring diverse specializations, spanning biological modeling and data science. These areas are incorporated into the adaptable curriculum, enabling students to focus on either modeling or data science. The PhD program provides research opportunities with faculty across various biological disciplines, sometimes involving collaboration with experimental laboratories at FSU or other institutions. Graduates have consistently secured excellent postdoctoral and faculty positions both domestically and internationally.
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; or
