The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program at Florida State University's College of Business provides rigorous, top-tier education designed to deepen students' knowledge of professional accounting practices. As an MAcc student at FSU, you'll develop essential quantitative, analytical, and research capabilities required for effective accounting decision-making. Graduates meet the educational criteria for CPA licensure in Florida and most other states. The program offers three specialization tracks: Assurance and Advisory Services, General Accounting, or Taxation. This one-year curriculum is tailored for accounting bachelor's degree holders, while non-accounting graduates may require additional coursework. Additionally, the College of Business features a Combined BS/MAcc Pathway, an accelerated option allowing exceptional FSU accounting juniors to begin graduate studies during their undergraduate years.
The College of Business generally recommends a GMAT minimum of 550 or a GRE minimum of 1200 (150 on each subsection of the revised GRE), taken within the last five years.
Applicants also must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the upper division coursework. Given the limited class size, it is likely that most who are admitted to the program will have credentials considerably above the specified minimums.
The College of Business requires a minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based test and 100 on the internet-based test, or a minimum of 7.0 on the IELTS exam, taken within the past two (2) years.
