The J.D./M.S.I.T. dual degree program, offered jointly by the College of Law and School of Information, allows students to pursue both law and information technology degrees simultaneously. Prospective applicants currently enrolled in law school need to consult with the College of Law's joint program coordinator and submit all required admission materials by July 1 after their initial year of legal studies. The coordinator will then forward the complete application package to both academic units for review. Law students who have already taken M.S.I.T. courses before entering the College of Law, or those seeking to join the program during their second year of law studies, must secure advance written authorization from the College of Law before applying to the dual degree pathway.
Applicants to the M.S.I.T. program must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, an upper division (junior and senior) grade point average of 3.0 or better, and prior information technology coursework or work experience.
