This program covers essential skills and knowledge suitable for current managers and anyone seeking emergency management education. Individuals who have earned their undergraduate certificate through this program should reach out to our office prior to enrolling in graduate-level courses. To count toward the EMHS Certificate, courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. If a student earns below a C in any course, they must retake it for the course to qualify for the EMHS certificate. SU courses do not count toward our certificate programs, except for Directed Individual Study (DIS) courses that have received departmental approval.
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; OR
A graduate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution; AND Test Scores.
Applicants must submit an official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college and/or university attended to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Transfer credit posted on the records of other institutions is not accepted in lieu of transcripts from the original institutions.
