The Department of Geography at Florida State University provides advanced degree programs for both master's and PhD candidates, preparing them with technical expertise and innovative thinking for evolving workforce demands. Scholars and students explore pressing societal challenges, geospatial analysis, and environmental systems through diverse theoretical and methodological approaches, covering urban dynamics, emancipatory geographies, geospatial technologies, climate impacts, societal risks, and ecological preservation. If accepted to program the minimum qualifications to be considered for admission and funding support are: (i) bachelor’s degree and GPA over 3.0 and (ii) GRE of at least 144 (Quant) and 153 (Verbal).
