Our accelerated bachelor's/master's programs cater to driven students pursuing practical careers in criminal justice. Undergraduate learners can explore this streamlined pathway, enabling dedicated individuals to obtain both their bachelor's and master's degrees within five years. The innovative 3plus3 Program creates opportunities for future legal professionals, permitting participants to achieve their bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees in just six years.
The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice provides comprehensive academic offerings at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Science (MS), Master of Arts (MA), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. Undergraduate options feature criminology and cyber criminology studies, the latter being a collaborative initiative with the Computer Science Department. Qualified students may pursue an integrated bachelor's/master's track in criminology and criminal justice. Distance education opportunities include a criminology certificate program and a Master of Science (MS) in criminal justice studies. The college also offers joint graduate programs with the School of Public Administration and College of Social Work. Evening classes are available for both undergraduate and graduate students, along with an online Bachelor of Science degree program in criminology.

Qualification Requirements

An applicant who desires admission as a first year in college student must be graduated from a regionally accredited high school (or comparable international institution). All transcripts/academic records that are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations. If the transcript/academic record does not indicate the degree earned and date the degree was awarded, separate proof of degree is required. We require freshman applicants to submit at least one ACT and/or SAT test score to be considered for admission. Florida State does not require the optional ACT writing score or the optional SAT essay. We encourage applicants to take both the ACT and SAT, and to attempt each exam more than one time to earn the highest possible score.
