The BS/MS pathway in Visual Disabilities Education equips you to support individuals with blindness or low vision. Educators in this field work in diverse environments, including public school resource rooms, itinerant teaching positions, schools for the blind, or agencies serving visually impaired children. Graduates typically secure employment quickly and enjoy rewarding careers helping children and adults with visual impairments develop essential skills. This combined degree program involves two years of upper-level undergraduate studies followed by one year of graduate coursework. To advance to the graduate portion, students must maintain a 3.00 GPA in their upper-division undergraduate courses. You'll receive your bachelor's degree in Visual Disabilities Education upon completing the undergraduate requirements, awarded at the end of your senior Spring semester. The graduate program culminates in a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Visual Disabilities.
