Located within the Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate and Legal Studies, the Real Estate program delivers an extensive curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in real estate fields. This major focuses on developing students' analytical and problem-solving abilities to thrive in the real estate sector. Specifically, the program prepares graduates for starting roles in mortgage banking, institutional lending, property brokerage, leasing services, valuation and investment advisory, real estate development, corporate property management, and government real estate positions.
Through the Real Estate Society (student group) and FSU Real Estate Center's alumni network, students gain industry insights via company visits, professional events, and networking with experienced practitioners. The program actively promotes internship opportunities at both departmental and college levels to offer hands-on learning. Accelerated training options through our department give students an edge when entering the job market compared to other entry-level candidates.
