FSU's Music Therapy program ranks among the nation's top programs, producing exceptional graduates for more than six decades.
Our alumni pursuing careers in both clinical and academic settings have achieved a perfect employment record. FSU-trained music therapists hold prominent roles in healthcare, mental health services, special education, hospice care, and senior services across the country.
The College of Music serves as home to numerous performance groups including orchestras, bands, choirs, jazz ensembles, early music groups, nine world music ensembles, chamber groups, plus the Florida State Opera and Music Theater Program. Annually, we present approximately 350 performances and events while hosting national conferences, workshops, and special events like our biennial Festival of New Music. Our distinguished history informs our commitment to quality and drives our pursuit of ongoing improvement. However, our true measure of success lies in how we serve you - the aspiring musicians who will fill our practice rooms, lecture halls, and studios. We welcome students at every level who are committed to maximizing their professional potential. We look for individuals who will enrich FSU's vibrant musical community. Most importantly, we value students who will embrace our College's welcoming atmosphere. Florida State University has maintained continuous accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music since 1930.
