Instead of opting for general courses, ISS students can pursue the Law and Society Specialization, blending primary, secondary, and elective study areas.
This interdisciplinary specialization examines how legal systems interact with modern society, fostering understanding of law's societal influence and how social, economic, and political factors shape legal frameworks. The curriculum incorporates courses from Economics, Geography, Political Science, Urban Planning, Sociology, Public Administration, and Philosophy.
Students can either minor in Law and Society or choose it as their major focus within the Interdisciplinary Social Science program. The Law and Society track suits diverse academic and career objectives by exploring connections between legal systems and human behavior.
