This integrated program enables eligible graduate students to work toward both degrees simultaneously. Prospective students must complete an online application for the combined MA/PhD program by February 15 of their intended enrollment year. Those seeking teaching assistantships for financial support should submit their applications by January 15th. Candidates must satisfy the admission criteria and follow application processes for both degree programs separately. Participants are required to complete all academic requirements for both degrees. The International Relations PhD program will recognize up to 33 credits from the Asian Studies MA toward its requirements. Beyond the MA coursework, students must complete an additional 75 credits to earn their PhD in International Relations.
