The Women's and Gender Studies Certificate allows students to combine gender-focused research from multiple academic fields into a structured curriculum. This program features essential core classes that examine women's roles within social and historical frameworks. These foundational courses offer valuable knowledge applicable to numerous majors, graduate studies, and career preparation. Students can select from diverse electives to tailor the program to their individual academic goals. Participants may pursue the full certificate or take individual courses as electives.
The certificate requires completing 15 graduate-level credit hours (courses numbered 5000 or above): Two Women's Studies graduate courses (6 credits) plus three approved electives (9 credits).
